King’s Speech & Maoists Attack

Blogs today were all but focused on King Gyanendra’s speech on the anniversary of the Feb 1, 2005 when he took over the control of the state through a Royal Proclamation.

United We Blog!
has the speech in English while BloggerNepal has the podcast. NepalInfo called the speech ‘meaningless‘.

The other news that attracted blogs is the Maoists’ attack in Palpa. Chij, Laliguras and Nepal Gulf News have entries on it.

Merosansar has moved to new server (RSS changed) while Tajim won’t be blogging for some time due to technical problem. He says he would be back soon.

Via Deepak's DiaryYesterday, Deepak Adhikari posted two interesting entries. The first is ‘A House of An Unknown Nepali Citizen‘. It is a small commentry on the front page photo of Kantipur daily. I too share the feelings of Deepak on the picture.

The second one is humurous with interesting redefinations of words.

2. Love affairs: Something like cricket where one-day internationals are more popular than a five day test.
14. Office: A place where you can relax after your strenuous home life.
