I want to say that we Nepalis have more than three occasions to celebrate New Year- if we wish to. I don’t think if we all celebrate Nepal Sambat or that’s the New Year of Newari community alone. Just by calling it as Nepal Sambat doesn’t make it the year for all Nepalis.

However, I do celebrate it- but there is Mithila Sambat and there is Lhosar. What about them? I also celebrate them.
It’s time we come out of the confined mindset and the age-old mentality- this is called New Nepal? Let’s become ‘new’ citizens of the country.

Happy new year to you all. A have “Tears of joys” to see nepali bloggers serious about growing together and making everyone easier to hear voices of our fellow nepalese. Ujwaj, you are doing a noteworthy job of trying to bring nepali blogger together and also improve the uniqueness of our nepali web which is now more dominated by blogs than ever before. Days are just ahead of us and not too far a way when blogs will take over our nepali news sites. Lets start betting on that. Anyways greetings for the season and a big hug to all nepali bloggers. You all rock and the world is just getting better!
